This course will use primary research articles to examine the biological impacts of climate change, often mentioned as the greatest challenge facing humanity today. The course will focus on the climate change impacts on coastal and marine ecosystems; water resources and freshwater ecosystems; food and agriculture; forests, grasslands and deserts; biodiversity and protected areas; and population, health and human well-being.
