Give + Go Green

Give + Go Green is an annual event where students donate food, clothing, and office supply items that they do not wish to take with them when they move out of the residence halls in May. Each year, we place collection boxes in the lobbies of our residence halls so students can easily donate items they would otherwise throw out.

Last year, the program collected 11,600 pounds of food, clothing, and other items that benefited the campus community and raised $5,755 for the Cherry Pantry. Donated clothing items provide a low cost shopping alternative during on campus thrift sales while food items are given to the Cherry Pantry to help alleviate food insecurity and access issues on campus.

None of this would be possible without the help of our student, staff, and faculty volunteers who help sort the items and prep for the fall sales. Be a part of our sustainable solution and sign up to volunteer for our 2019 program here
