Research Paper Abstract: The objective of this paper is to quantify the benefit of water bottle dispensing units at Temple University in order to account for external costs economically and socially. Metrics such as number of plastic water bottles saved from consumption, impact of natural resources and disposal, the costs of operating these dispensers, and a look at the social return on investment. The results aim to illustrate the benefit of these dispensers and suggest recommendations so Temple can achieve sustainability.
