5 Disposable Products to Replace with Reusable Ones!

It’s easy to overlook just how many disposable products we use day to day. Let’s reduce our waste and find ways to reuse common products!

  • Disposable cleaning wipes are hard on tough messes, but also full of chemicals! Check out this tutorial for reusable, safe wipes!

  • Do you use fabric softener and/or dryer sheets when you do your laundry? What if you didn’t have to buy them again for years? DIY wool dryer balls help to dry your clothes faster (saving energy and those quarters), and you can add essential oil of your choosing to keep your clothes smelling fresh!

  • Though they cost more than disposable batteries, rechargeable batteries can last you hundreds of charges, saving money (and waste) in the long run!

  • Small areas (like the floor of your dorm) don’t really need a full mop, but disposable cleaning pads are expensive, full of chemicals, and wasteful! Consider making your own reusable pads like these ones (with all natural ingredients!)

  • Use a Keurig? It’s great for convenience, but all those plastic cups really add up! Luckily, lots of companies are now making reusable pods! Check out all the options!
