Resist the temptation to take too much food that either ends up in the trash or as unwanted and unnecessary calories. Here are some quick tips to help you minimize your waste and your waist line:
- At J&H, grab a tray and put it at your seat before you go to get your food using individual plates. This will force you to take only what you can carry on your plate. If you need more after the first plate, then consider going up for seconds. Chances are the first plate will meet your needs.
- If you are hungry, don't wait until the next meal to eat. Try grabbing a healthy snack in between meals to satisfy your craving. This should help you avoid overeating or sending excess food to the landfill.
- When you are snacking at home, set out a portion of the snack in a bowl instead of eating directly from the package. This will help you make your snack food last longer and will aid you in keeping track of what you're consuming.
