TOSS (Temple Office Supply Swap)

Started as a pilot project by the Computer Recycling Center (CRC), TOSS is designed to aggregate surplus office supplies and make them available to the Temple University community for free. This initiative has turned into a joint effort between the Office of Sustainability and the CRC to make the university a more sustainable operation.

TOSS employs a give a penny, take a penny philosophy. In order to keep the shelves constantly in circulation and stocked with office supplies, we ask that you try to bring something to be recycled/reused. Reuse items can include: any sort of office use items like pens, paper, folders, staplers, general office supplies, books, etc...

TOSS is located on the Lower Level of the Howard Gittis Student Center North just outside of the Office of Sustainability. Access to the shelves is available whenever the building is open.

Drop-off and Pickup Procedures:

  • Surplus office supplies may be dropped off or picked up directly at TOSS during normal operating hours of the Howard Gittis Student Center.
  • Small items may be sent via interoffice mail by addressing envelopes to: Office of Sustainability, HGSC lower level
  • For larger quantities, submit a Facilities work request requesting items be delivered to Pearson Hall 142 (CRC). Surplus items should be boxed up prior to pickup. For surplus electronic equipment, visit CRC.
