Temple Thrift











Temple Thrift is an initiative that aims to reduce waste and address food insecurity on campus. Each fall, the Office of Sustainability hosts three thrift sales where we sell clothing that was donated by students during Give + Go Green at the end of the spring semester. In 2019, we will hold the sales from 10-3pm at the Bell Tower on September 11th, September 25th, and October 16th.

All of the clothing pieces are sold for less than $10, and most of the jeans, sweaters, shirts are under $3. All of the proceeds raised go directly to The Cherry Pantry. In 2018, we were able to raise $5,755 to address student food insecurity on Temple's campus while raising awareness about textile waste.

None of this would be possible without the help of our student, staff, and faculty volunteers who help staff the clothing tables during the sales. We welcome you to be a part of our sustainable solution by volunteering for one of our Temple Thrift sales:
