Temple Thrift

Temple Thrift

Each fall, the Office of Sustainability hosts outdoor pop-up thrift sales to promote reuse and raise awareness about textile and consumer waste on campus. All clothing and accessories sold through Temple Thrift are donated by student residents through Give + Go Green, a collaborative sustainable move-out initiative. Most items cost less than $3, and nothing is more than $5.

Proceeds from the sales support sustainability-themed student programs focused on equity and essential needs, developed in partnership with the Division of Student Affairs’ Student Support and Advocacy and the Christopher and Julie Barnett Essential Needs Hub

This year's pop-up sale will take place on Wednesday, October 21st at the Bell Tower from 10AM to 3PM.

Get Involved with Temple Thrift

The success of Temple Thrift depends on volunteers and supporters from across the university.

Want to volunteer? Shifts are 2–4 hours and include setting up, managing sales tables, and assisting shoppers. Volunteering is also an opportunity for Temple employees to earn their Owls for Philly civic engagement benefit.
